Hong Kong Shing Mun Valley Waterworks.

We have your letter of the 21st May with

regard to William F. Coutts, which we are forwarding

to the Resident Engineer, and should he have any opening,

he will no doubt communicate direct.

At the time Mr. Willis spoke about this man

we did not appreciate he was not now of British nationality,

and if it should happen there is a vacancy which would

have to be filled through the Crown Agents, this fact

may be a difficulty.
